Visited for a lunchtime birthday celebration. Food excellent and the staff very attentive and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a good experience. The Star Burger was fantastic! At this time of year due to age of the building I guess it was a little chilly in the dining room so you might want to bring a something suitable to wear. Not the case in the bar area where you a greeted by a roaring fire! Happy to recommend and hopefully will return soon.
You get what you pay for: quality service, lovely food, cosy place. The room was nice and clean, they pay attention for details. Definitely will stay here next time aswell.
Fabulous gastro pub with room's.A truly fabulous pub ...The food is excellent with lots of local produce and a interesting menu. My 3rd time to stay and dine here and delighted that I have returned. Rooms are of a exceptionally high standard and spotlessly clean. It you're looking for a break in a beautiful location with fabulous food and excellent service then this is your place.5 .
