We visited a number of Catteries in the area and even though Park Cattery isn't as convenient location wise for us, it is the best cattery we found. Set within the grounds of a farm, the actual cattery is purpose built and the individual units are a good size with an enclosed area at the back with a shelf and a more open area at the front. There are two external doors to enter the cattery area and then each unit has it's own door so feels very secure. Music is left on for the cats and they take notice of any special care requirements (our cat requires a particular food which we supply). All run very professionally and the staff all seem very nice. Highly recommended.

Fantastic facilities and very friendly staff, our cats seemed to have a good time, plus owners have a Facebook page where they post pics of cats while your away!

Jan & Rob Beamont at Wantage run more than a Cattery. Their dedication and professionalism in looking after the animals under their care goes way beyond anything we have ever experienced from other places and we've been using kennels and catteries for 35 years. We left our adored pets for quite an extended stay this year whilst we were abroad. Our first time with Park Kennels, we chose them because of the quality of the accommodation they have built - indoor, heated and spacious individual areas with access to an outdoor area as needed, but more importantly they provide each animal with individual daily attention. This gives them the all important regular human interaction and affection and it makes such a huge difference to our pets (and us as their owners) as so many places do not provide this level of service. We were impressed with this philosophy and the extra effort it required but were to be even more impressed by the huge care and attention given by Rob Jan and their staff when our pet got ill. Unfortunately due to her age, she had already developed an abscess on her thigh when we left her, but it had worsened considerably during her stay at Park Kennels and needed cleaning and dressing daily. Rob even took her twice to our own vets in Sonning Common (not exactly a small trip from Wantage) to make sure she was ok and that she was given the right antibiotics by the vet that knew her and her history. This goes well beyond the usual service you would expect and we got frequent updates on her progress. This was 'nursing' care really and Robs extensive experience and expertise with animals as a farmer really did make a difference since he was able to spot things early and get them dealt with appropriately. We feel so indebted and appreciative of the care and attention given to our pets which after all, are part of our families, and Park Kennels really get that and make it their business to ensure that special continuity of care in animal welfare. Needless to say, our pets are now loyal and happy visitors and we can only say a huge thanks to Rob and Jan for creating such a special place where we feel totally confident and happy to leave our pets. This cattery is fantastic! My cat Susie always looked a bit bedraggled in her previous cattery. This amazing facility with first class care made her stay a very happy one. Would highly recommend to anyone!
