Pleasantly busy in the caf. Nice cup of coffee.
This is a great local museum. Always has good activities for kids to get involved with and a great way to spend a an hour or two
An excellent small museum dealing with the history, growth and development of the small town in which it's set, Wantage. The Museum is targeted at the younger generation providing much "hands on" experimentation and experience, whilst also linking the old (and often disappeared) features of the town with the buildings that are there now. The trades formerly carried on in the town are well illustrated. There's a Cafe serving light refreshments. The Museum is operated largely by volunteers and much credit must go to them; without them I fear this valuable asset to the town wouldn't be there at all. Well worth a visit.
Excellent for families. Lots of regular activities. Craft activities like music, making lace, knitting groups (knit & natter) Caf provides a nice social space for all ages. There are books & toys available. They have baby bouncers too. A great social hub!
Loved our visit to the Lego expo, this was our first time to the museum and it had lots of local history to look at , my girls loved the Lego treasure hunt and it took up most of our afternoon. The museum has a cafe and lots of little rooms to explore, it really is a great day out
